In 1973, the company was acquired by Renault from the Rédélé family and became a subsidiary of Renault. The official name is "Société des Automobiles Alpine Renault". In 1973, the Dieppe factory was producing the A110 and A310, and later produced the A310 V6, V6 GT, V6 Turbo, and A610. Alpine also produced sports models and competition vehicles for Renault, and supplied parts for them.
