A vintage Kaishu marked blue and white dragon rice eyes porcelain platter. It has a Translucent rice pattern around the platter. It is hand painted with a dragon motif that has five claws. It’s decorated with waves and bats. Hold the platter of the light and it almost glows because of rice pattern. The kaishu mark dates this piece 1980s to the present. The light blue pattern on the platter could date this piece from 1939 to 1945. During World War II there was a shortage of cobalt and that affects the blue color. It’s in perfect condition no cracks no breaks no scratches. It measures 10 1/4 inches long and 7 1/2 inches wide.
